1. Service Overview

Jirani is a mobile marketplace application for neighborhood services, published by Jirani (hereinafter "we" or "us"). It enables individuals living in the same neighborhood to exchange everyday services: home repair, gardening, pet care, errands, tutoring, object lending, transportation, cleaning, IT help, and more.

Jirani is available on iOS and Android. Use of the app is free for individuals. Jirani is not a party to transactions between users and does not intervene in price setting or service execution.

2. Account Creation and Eligibility

2.1 Eligibility Requirements

To use Jirani, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have a valid email address
• Reside or operate in a geographic area covered by the app
• Accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy

2.2 Account Creation

You may create an account via:

• Email address and password
• Google sign-in (OAuth)
• Apple sign-in (iOS only)

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all actions taken from your account. In case of compromise, contact us immediately at contact@jirani-app.ma.

2.3 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your account and to maintain it as such. Accounts created with false information may be suspended.

3. User Obligations

3.1 Personal Use

Jirani is reserved for personal, non-commercial use. Use of the app for professional or commercial purposes (businesses, agencies, resellers) is prohibited without prior written agreement from Jirani.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

It is strictly prohibited to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or illegal content
• Harass, threaten, insult, or discriminate against other users
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use scripts, bots, or any automated means to access the service
• Attempt to circumvent the app's security measures
• Post listings for illegal or unlicensed products or services
• Solicit personal or financial information from other users outside the app
• Create multiple accounts for the same user

4. Listing Rules

4.1 Permitted Categories

Listings must fall within one of the following categories: home repair, gardening, pet care, errands and delivery, tutoring, object lending, transportation, cleaning, IT help, other.

4.2 Listing Content

Each listing must:

• Honestly and accurately describe the service offered or sought
• Respect reasonable length limits (title ≤ 100 characters, description ≤ 2,000 characters)
• Include only relevant and legal photos

The following are prohibited in listings:

• Content that is sexual, violent, hateful, or discriminatory
• Sale of products (Jirani is a services-only platform)
• Job offers in the employment law sense
• Any illegal or regulated activity without proper authorization

4.3 Duration and Expiration

Listings automatically expire after 30 days. You may renew, pause, or delete your listings at any time from within the app.

4.4 Moderation

Jirani reserves the right to remove without notice any listing that does not comply with these rules.

5. Messaging and Transactions

The in-app messaging allows users to agree on the terms of a service. Jirani does not participate in negotiations and is not responsible for agreements made between users.

Jirani does not process any payments. Any financial transactions take place exclusively between users, outside the platform. Jirani disclaims all responsibility for financial disputes between users.

6. Reviews and Ratings

After a service exchange, users may leave reviews for each other (1–5 star rating + comment). Reviews must:

• Be based on a real experience with the user being reviewed
• Be honest, respectful, and non-defamatory
• Not contain discriminatory, abusive, or commercial content

A user cannot leave a review on their own profile. Jirani may remove any review that does not comply with these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Jirani Content

All elements of the Jirani application (logo, design, source code, text, trademarks) are the exclusive property of Jirani and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

7.2 User Content

By publishing content (text, photos) on Jirani, you grant Jirani a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with the operation of the service. You represent that you hold all necessary rights to the content you publish.

8. Limitation of Liability

Jirani is a connection platform. As such:

• Jirani does not verify users' identities or the quality of services offered
• Jirani is not responsible for damages resulting from transactions between users
• Jirani does not guarantee continuous and uninterrupted availability of the service
• Jirani is not responsible for content published by users

Under no circumstances shall Jirani be liable for indirect, consequential, or non-material damages arising from the use of the application.

9. Suspension and Termination

9.1 Termination by the User

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings (Settings → Delete my account). Deletion results in the immediate deactivation of your account and the deletion of your data within 30 days.

9.2 Suspension by Jirani

Jirani reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in cases of:

• Violation of these Terms of Use
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Repeated reports by other users
• Extended inactivity (more than 12 consecutive months)

9.3 Service Changes

Jirani reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice except in cases of emergency.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by Moroccan law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution before any legal action. Failing agreement, the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco shall have sole jurisdiction.

Jirani reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Modifications take effect upon their publication in the app. Continued use of the app after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
